Seawork Careers Day

In June, the Maritime and Transport Careers Programme were proud to support the Seawork Careers Day, held in Southampton. The event brought together students from schools and colleges across the region, industry leaders, and training providers to explore the wide range of career opportunities within the maritime sector.

Our team engaged with hundreds of young people keen to learn more about careers with MTCP member businesses both at sea and ashore — from ship operations and marine engineering to logistics and port management. It was an excellent platform to share first-hand insights, discuss educational pathways, and promote the exciting opportunities.

The enthusiasm and curiosity of students at Seawork reaffirm the importance of early engagement with the sector. We look forward to continuing to support the next generation of maritime professionals.
