MTCP on Learn Live

We are thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration between the Maritime and Transport Careers Programme and the Hampshire and Solent Careers Hubs to deliver a dynamic Learn Live event on Tuesday, 11th June, running from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

What is Learn Live?

The Learn Live technology is free to schools and colleges and doesn’t require any additional equipment to be purchased or procured to interact with the live broadcasts. All broadcasts can be viewed via interactive whiteboards or projectors using IE or Google Chrome browsers on existing laptops, PCs or via an app on tablet devices.

Since 2015, Learn Live have delivered over 350 live broadcasts and reached over 400,000 young people in schools, colleges and other educational institutions including Job Centre Plus. Over 2,000 schools and colleges have also engaged with the on-demand video content with live interactive chat.

MTCP & Hampshire Careers Hub Learn Live

This all-day virtual event will run on the hour, every hour and is specially designed for students in Years 8 to 11, offering a unique opportunity to explore the wide-ranging and rewarding careers available across the maritime and transport sectors. Throughout the day, students will hear directly from apprentices and their line managers, gaining real-world insights into the diverse roles and career pathways within our member businesses. They will also be able to ask questions during the event which will be answered by careers advisors and industry experts.

From engineering and logistics to operations, IT and customer service, the event will showcase the breadth of opportunities that exist in this vital and growing industry. It’s a chance for young people to see how their interests and skills can translate into exciting futures.
