Festival of Industries

We had a fantastic day at the Festival of Industries hosted by Southern Universities Network in collaboration with Hampshire Careers Hub at Solent University.

As part of the Maritime and Transport Careers Programme, we were proud to work alongside our member businesses DP World -Leanne, Ella-Louise, Elli-May and Lee Harfield and Meachers Global Logistics- Helen and Kellyann to showcase the exciting range of careers available across the maritime, transport, and logistics sectors.

Students from The Burgate School and Deer Park School took part in engaging workshops, including creating a social media campaign and taking on the challenge of loading a cargo ship. These activities introduced them to a wide variety of career opportunities while helping them develop valuable teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills. They produced some amazing work, we even had a live performance of a TikTok!
